At that point, adjust the brake actuating bolt so it just makes contact when the clutch is disengaged. it sure would be nice to have an hydraulic gauge wheels or running wheels or some sort of wheels to help raise/lower it. on the brake band, now you want to pull back the lever until the clutch disengages. and weight of stuff you could toss on behind it.

Adjustment on these is a bit finicky, make sure you have an owners manual and follow it closely. Moisture is a pretty common problem with the dry clutches. If I'm not mistaken, both later B and C models had oil bathed self adjusting clutch packs.
